Lottery For The Week Ending May 8, 2016

Greetings Ankhies and Ankhettes! It's time for another weekly Ankh lottery! *listens to the clapping and cheering*

Of course, this week marks some of the more well known quasi-holidays like May 4th, aka Star Wars Day, and Cinco de Mayo, but how about some of the lesser known days? Shouldn't we show them some love too? So here we go, another round of lesser known days of celebration!

Starting with today, May 5th, which is, of course, Cinco de Mayo. But it's also National Hoagie Day and Oyster Day!

Tomorrow, May 6th is International Tuba Day! woohoo! It's also Nurses Day and Tourist Appreciation Day. We love tourists down here in the swamp. The gators eat well during tourist season.

Sat, May 7th is the Kentucky Derby, Free Comic Book Day, and Beer Pong Day!

Sun, May 8th is No Socks Day, Coconut Cream Pie Day, and Mother's Day. So Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies in the guild!

I'll be celebrating Tuba Day! I mean, there's never been as much appreciation for the tuba as there should be right? After all, it is an amazingly large instrument that requires a great deal of muscle to wield, and then there is that glorious noise...I mean music, that it plays. I think given the Scottish penchant for bagpipes, that a Scottish dude might have tried to make a metal bagpipe and ended up with a tuba! Either way it is a most melodic instrument and definitely deserves it's own day. So I, for one, will be celebrating Tuba Day with a toot toot here and a toot toot there.....

I am going to go with no socks day in hopes of more sunshine and no more snow for a couple months.

I think I'll go with Sebastian Swift pulling a 63 on Cinco de Mayo! I spent it telling people that they are wrong and that it is in fact NOT the Mexican Independence Day. It was actually an unlikely Mexican Army victory over the French forces.

I would have to say the best celebration I can get behind is Coconut Cream Pie Day....and of course I should try a few other pies, so none feel left out.
For a number, let us randomly choose 84, will work for me. I knew there was a reason for my percentiles at my desk....lol

Myron, one mustn't for get Sunday the 8th. It is one of the most important days of the year. "No Socks Day" means less washing for mum (y'know...because you luv her)
