Hello Ankhies! It's party time again!
Yep, it's time for another fun filled Ankh party.
Day: Saturday, Sept 21st, 2013 so we can celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of autumn - that's a reason to celebrate, right? (like we've ever needed a reason HA!)
Time: 1pm Pacific / 4pm Eastern / 9pm UK (I think I figured that out right) anyway, 4pm Eastern. We wanted to make it early enough that Neil, Pixie, and the other party animals over in Scotland & England could join us without it being too late for them. But we also had to make it after lunch so Strix could have a beer (she stamped her foot, screamed, yelled, and threatened to throw me out of the guild if I tried to make earlier than that.)
Events: What's a party without events? The Officers are working hard to come up with events for the party. BUT, anyone else in the guild is welcome to put together events too (I've already heard a rumor that Chris is working on some sort of redneck version of hide-n-seek). If you'd like to host something, let us know!
Prizes: Oh yes! There will be prizes for doing events, answering trivia, and all sorts of assorted stuff. You folks know we love to give things away! Strix will be giving out prizes for no apparent reason and I'm sure Lisa will try to give me away AGAIN at some point (she hasn't found a taker yet but she'll keep offering).
Music: I plan on doing music again for people but I'm going to it a little different this time. The last party I had so many requests coming in that I could hardly keep up! That was fun and I enjoyed it BUT I didn't get to actually be part of the party much because I was busy finding songs and loading the song list. So this time I'm going to take requests in advance and have everything prerecorded. I'm also NOT going to play the music in vent this time. Instead, I've set up a private radio station that we'll use. The quality of the music will be better (in vent we only get voice quality, the station will give us music quality) and the people who don't / can't use vent will be able to tune in via a weblink.
Send the song requests to me by email, a post here, in-game mail or a private message here on the forum. Please don't send it by message while I'm in game because I know I'll lose it and it won't get played.
I will also be doing dedications if you have a special song you want played for someone. Just tell me the song, who you want the song played for and what you want me to say (but keep it clean please).
Vent: The vent server will be up and running during the party so if you want to hang out there, come on! There will be lots of laughter, jokes, and conversation on there so feel free to join in.
Where: Down on the beach in LA by the fire (close to the diving board).
Everyone mark your calendar, schedule the afternoon off, and plan on having some fun!
