Hello wonderful Ankhies

Since my husband is such a cheapskate, I have to make my own jewellery if I want anything fancy to wear, so instead of the usual sticks and stones I cobble together with bits of string, I bought some lovely polished rocks from some guy on ebay in India (things you have to do, right?) Anyways, I'm a bit besotted with the beauty of labradorite and jasper at the moment, so with rocks on my brain (or IN it as some have said), I would love to hear what your favourite rock/stone, precious or otherwise, is, for this weeks entry into the lottery.

Omg, Garry that is a beautiful stone. And my daughter has a nice butterfly pendant made out of it, from a special person. And her name is Alexandra and it is her birthstone too.

But my favorite is my birthstone - tanzanite!

Tanzanite is noted for its remarkably strong trichroism, appearing alternately sapphire blue, violet and burgundy depending on crystal orientation. And it is found only in Tanzania!

I actually like most of the gemstones. Not a big fan of diamonds.
